Online Yoga School

Online Trainings Since 2017

In 2017 we decided to provide online versions of our yoga teacher training as we were getting requests from people who could not travel to our ashrams.

I was intrigued by the outcome, so we created this online version to see where the virtual journey would take us. When we announced it on social media, we were bombarded with negative comments; some believed it was impossible to learn yoga online.

The outcome surprised us all. Within the first six months, more than a thousand practitioners had already enrolled in our online training program.

Hundreds of five-star reviews gave us confidence, and regular feedback helped us refine the online course to make it entirely user-friendly, with added value for our students.

Benefits of Our Online Courses

Added Flexibility and Self-Paced Learning

Our online course allows you to study at your own leisure and schedule your study time to suit your personal routine. Another benefit is that there are no deadlines for completing the course.

Unlimited Access to Online Videos

This is a unique benefit of online learning. You can re-watch the videos at any speed. Allowing you to grasp concepts you could have missed in a class environment.

Unlimited Personal Support

Our online yoga teacher training comes with unlimited teacher support. This means you can contact the teacher for support as often as you need, even after completing the course.

Lifelong Access

Over time we tend to forget details. Our online course gives you lifelong access to log in and review the concepts anytime. All material is yours to keep forever.

More Affordable

Our online course costs less than half of the onsite course. You also save on travel, lodging, and commuting expenses.

Our Core Values

Our Philosophy - Authenticity

At Arhanta, we bring you authentic knowledge from a rich heritage of five generations. You will learn from a teacher who has studied yoga since childhood at traditional Indian Vedic schools. We believe that real yoga is practiced 20% on the mat and 80% in your daily life.

Our Knowledge - Excellence

We keep our yoga practice traditional, but we do not allow tradition to limit us. We continue to study modern, science-based anatomy, physiology, and developments in the fitness and exercise fields, so you receive accurate, evidence-informed knowledge of the highest standard.

Our Approach - Empowering

In reality, the concept of “one alignment for all” can turn up empty results. We believe everyone is unique in their body, mind, and capabilities. Therefore, we teach you how to understand your students individually and provide personalized alignments and adjustments.

Our Commitment - Integrity

We are committed to the success of our students & community. We provide lifelong support, not only during the course but also after you have completed the course. Your success is our triumph.

Our Professionalism - High Standards

What is the difference between prenatal yoga certification and postnatal yoga teacher training?

A prenatal yoga certification focuses on supporting women during pregnancy, while postnatal yoga teacher training focuses on recovery after birth. This includes safe movement, core and pelvic floor awareness, restorative practice, and class design for the postpartum period. Together, the two trainings help teachers support students through the full journey from pregnancy to recovery.

Can I take this postnatal yoga teacher training after a prenatal yoga certification online?

Yes. In fact, this course is a natural next step after a prenatal yoga certification online because it helps you continue supporting students after birth. It allows you to expand from pregnancy-focused teaching into postpartum care and professional postnatal yoga classes.

Will I learn how to structure a safe postnatal yoga class for beginners?

Yes. The course teaches you how to structure a safe postnatal yoga class using appropriate sequencing, modifications, restorative practices, props, and clear teaching guidelines for postpartum students at different stages of recovery.

Can I teach both private sessions and postnatal yoga classes after completing this course?

Yes. The training is designed to help you teach both one-to-one sessions and group postnatal yoga classes, as long as you stay within your scope of practice and apply the course principles responsibly.

When is it safe for mothers to start practicing Postnatal Yoga?

Around 2-3 months postpartum, many mothers are ready to reconnect with their yoga practice. This course teaches you to guide their safe return, focusing on rebuilding core strength in the pelvic floor, abdominals, back, and glutes.

You’ll learn to design classes that not only restore physical strength but also provide a nurturing space for new mothers to bond, share experiences, and navigate the challenges of early parenthood.

Why offer both Postnatal Yoga and Mom and Baby Yoga classes?

We often hear about Pre- and Postnatal Yoga, but Mom and Baby Yoga is another essential class you can offer to support your students throughout their postpartum recovery.

Mom & Baby Yoga starts 40 days after vaginal birth or 80 days post-C-section, focusing on gentle movement and bonding. Postnatal Yoga on the other hand begins 2-3 months postpartum, helping rebuild strength and stamina.

These classes work together, providing continuous support as mothers heal and adjust. Women can attend both, allowing you to meet their changing needs in early motherhood.

Can I do this course without previous education?

Yes, but we highly recommend following our Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training course first as our Postnatal Yoga certification is designed to build on what you have learned in the prenatal journey. That said, if you only want to learn and teach this style, it is fully available without previous education.

Can I teach Postnatal Yoga after completion?

Absolutely! Our certified Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training fully prepares you to launch your own classes and teach Postnatal Yoga anywhere in the world. The course concludes with our “Life and Business Coach Support” section, where you’ll receive step-by-step guidance on starting classes and practical advice for attracting and retaining students.

If you’re interested in diving deeper into the business side of yoga, consider Lucia’s advanced Yoga Business Coaching Course.

What is the course focused on?

The course focuses on the practical foundations of safe postpartum teaching, including:

  •  Counter breastfeeding positions
  • Restorative specific postnatal practice
  • Re-balanced positions
  • Postnatal education of the body and posture
  • Relaxations
When does the course start and finish?

You can start right after you enroll for the course. You get lifelong access, so if you want, you can also start the course six months later after getting enrolled.

You can finish the course as soon as eight days or take as long as you want. To ensure a proper learning experience, we provide the content with a drip method.  Most of the students finish the course in 2-4 weeks as a part-time study.

What if I have questions during the course?

Our online Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training course comes with unlimited teacher support. For any questions during or after your study, you can contact the teacher directly.

How many hours of training does this online course provide?

This online course covers 20 hours of study and practice time. If you are registered with the Yoga Alliance as a RYT, you can also claim these hours as Continuing Education hours.

Are there any exams?

There are simple quizzes throughout the course and a final exam at the end which need a passing grade to complete the course. The quizzes and the exam can be attempted an unlimited number of times. This way we ensure that you have gained sufficient knowledge to teach Postnatal Yoga.
